Intelisys Channel Partner Event Was a Big Success

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Intelisys agent event, now dubbed, “Channel Connect,” on Oct. 6 - 9. 2010 the gathering marked the 11th anniversary of the event, and it’s clear that it has grown not only in the number of vendors present, but also in agent attendance, by leaps and bounds. Because of this growth, Intelisys has rebranded the event into Channel Connect, and has expanded the length of the event along with what activities are available.

For the third year in a row, the event was held at thebeautiful Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif. The event kicked off with a welcome reception on Wednesday night; and, there were at least 200 participants in attendance. On Thursday, the education involved a keynote addresses and general educational sessions, along with the traditional supplier/vendor presentations, followed by the supplier fair that evening. The day also offered partners’ spouses the opportunity to take tours of downtown Napa for some exceptional wine tasting and shopping.
ATEL has been a Channel Partner with Intelisys for many years giving ATEL access to an additional group of “Carriers” like New Edge, MegaPath, Above net and others. ATEL has also direct partner agreements with some carriers giving us the ability to shop rates across a vast array of competitive providers. The added advantage of training and pier support that we get from Intelisys makes our “One Source” solution even more powerful for our customers.
